Security Bottle

I purchased my first Thermos back in 1982 and it has traveled everywhere with me. On church trips from Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. On Band trips to Chicago, Disney World-Orlando, competitions all over Virginia and Tennessee, to football games. I have carried it everyday to work and everywhere I go. My friends call it my security bottle because they never see me without it.

I carry it into the church with me so that I can have a cup of coffee between services, we have three services on Sunday morning. I have taken it to work to have my coffee with me at all hours of the night. I have worked third shift 10pm to 6:30 am for over 19 years. My coffee is a life saver. My Thermos has kept my coffee hot for longer than 24 hours.

I have banged my thermos up pretty badly over the years and have replaced the cup a couple of times. One time I ran over the cup. The outside doesn't look too good either. My wife thought the outside looked dirty (the coating) and took a steel wool pad to it. That was about 20 years ago.

She purchased me a new one 12/2007 for Christmas. The only reason was she dropped the Thermos and broke the stopper and we could not find one of the old time stoppers to fit it.

I hope the new one lasts as long as the old one. We will wait and see.
