We have been struggling to find anything to keep our coffee hot. My husband makes the coffee every morning at 4:30. He puts 2 cups in his mini-vacuum bottle to take to work. He puts the remaining 4 cups in a vacuum bottle/carafe to keep hot for me when I get up 3-4 hours later..
When I pour my coffee it is barely room temperature. I have to reheat it in the microwave and microwaved coffee is horrible to our specific coffee taste buds! We buy only high-end coffee as we appreciate its finest flavor and aroma. We don't just drink coffee because it is coffee, we drink coffee because we like it! Just in the last 5 years we have purchased more than 9 different models/brands of vacuum/carafe units that have all proclaimed that hot will stay hot for 6 hours. Total money wasted is approximately $350.
Starting in the late 40's as a child, I remember Dad and my Uncle Loren each having a Stanley vacuum bottle that lasted through every test their long and hard days would dish out. Dad was in construction, and Uncle Loren drove a long haul log truck. Both did so for over 25-35years. When Dad passed away in 1993, my brother , with his hunting/fishing hobbies, became the heir of Dad's Stanley. It is a very sentimental item to us...When we see it, we think of Dad . It is as though each little dent or scratch captured the hard work and love he had everyday for Mom and us 4 kids. No matter how many times it was dropped, it never failed to stop working! Today Uncle Loren is in his 90's and he still has his Stanley! In short, both Stanley's purchased in the 40's are still alive and well.
I told my husband that it was time to quit trying to find this "perfect color coordinated" carafe for the counter in the kitchen. Our carafes have always looked " fashionably stylish" but not one has delivered on its promise in function.
Today our Stanley is 1 DAY OLD. This morning was the first morning in as long as I can remember , that I had a HOT cup of coffee and I look forward to tomorrow's cup even more. Thank you for delivering our your promises of quality and durability. My brother 's Stanley is second generation and ours is just 1 day old. BOTH PERFORM EXACTLY THE SAME!
Yesterday's purchase of our Stanley ends 3 things:
1. cold coffee
2. Money dumped down the drain.
3. Carafe donations to the Good Will!
60+ years of memories has led me back to you. Your bottle not only meets our needs, (and it looks very stylish on the kitchen counter I must add) but triggers wonderful memories of days gone by. Remembering Dad going to work every morning and coming home every night wearing the dust, mud, or cement imprints of the day 's toils and carrying his "trusty coffee bottle" in his hand.
Thank you Stanley! You do more than keep coffee hot . You have established a solid reputation of quality and durability - not many companies can hone up to that in today's manufacturing world.
