Stanley is a family tradition

I have owned Stanley thermos ' for nearly forty years . I grew up on a rural farm and my father worked the farm and had a job at the steelmills . He was constantly dropping the thermos and breaking the glass liners that came in most thermos bottles of the time .
My brother went to work on an oil rig and got tired of glass shards in his coffee every time he dropped a thermos . Finally we got a two quart Stanley for him to carry to the oil fields . I heated it with hot water first and it kept the coffee hot for two days on the job .
I was so impressed with it's performance ,I got other family members one . I used everyone elses and, after putting it on my Christmas lists for years with out results ,I bought my self a quart bottle for my Mother's Day present .I still take it to the pasture when I build fence .
It has survived bouncing in my truck ,stepped on by my horses ,camping and travel and still works like new .I do living history programs and travel in a covered wagon . Wagons have no springs and only my Stanley gets to the end of the day unscathed.
My 22 year old daughter got a Stanley for her fire department calls . Now she is in law enforcement in addition to firefighting and Stanley will go with her .
By the way , I still have that 2 qt. Stanley from over forty years ago . It was before handles were available and it has a door handle on with hose clamps . I bought my husband the lunch box with the place for his Stanley in the handle . It has traveled on the railroad where ever he worked . He still carries it every day and will until he retires . Thanks for a great product !
