I bought my Stanley 26 years ago to replace one of those glass lined thermos' that broke when it collided with my dashboard when someone failed to yield the right of way and I had to slam my brakes on to avoid hitting them. My Stanley has bounced off of many things including a dashboard or two, it has quiet a few dents in it a broken handle, dents in the bottom as well as the cup. I retired my Stanley this morning due to the seal around the cup dry rotting, I would have carried it forever had that not happened. Sure hope this style of thermos holds out as long as my old one did. Heck, the store I bought it at closed some 18 years ago.
