Still Performs Flawlessly
I had a tough day as a roofing laborer in 1982. My truck had broken down and I was forced to ride my bicycle home, tired and exhausted and in 100+ degree heat. My thermos was in hand as I noticed a car driving towards me in the wrong lane on a narrow country road at a high rate of speed. Just before he reached me, I launched the thermos and dove into the ditch. As I looked up, I saw the thermos hitting the windshield and top corner of the roof. It must have flown 40 feet into the air and came down hard onto the pavement. There is a small dent near the mouth, the cup was ruined but my Stanley still performs flawlessly. I suspect the driver was drunk as he failed to stop even though his windshield was destroyed.
