Served Me Faithfully

Growing up in the mountains on a farm you learn quickly the value of dependable tools. The Stanley thermos's that my father and grandfather carried were as much a part of their tool boxes as their favorite wrench or hammer.

At 15, I purchased my own Stanley (just like my Dads, of course) and it became an indispensable part of my tool box. When I joined the Air Force, my thermos joined with me. When I was sent to Desert Storm so was my Stanley. It served me as faithfully as I served my country.

Many years later, now married with children of my own, my Stanley is still there with a hot cup coffee when I need it (though I have gone through several stoppers and o-rings along the way).

My thermos has been dropped from the roof of a two story house, run over (literally) by my truck, lost in a stream bed for two days on a fishing trip and otherwise worked as hard as any other tool I own. The paint is nearly gone; it is dented all over and to this day, still keeps my coffee hot.

For my last birthday, my wife purchased a new classic steel bottle for me in hopes that I would retire the badly abused one that I had, but I can't bring myself to see it go so it is now my spare.

I look forward to another 20+ years with my new Stanley and thank you for building a quality product that a man can depend on to do exactly what it is meant to do. A lot like your favorite wrench or hammer.
