eCYCLE®
Born from passionate employees looking for a way to make a difference, eCycle®
is our proprietary mix of recycled plastics. It is the material in our Recycled
& Recyclable products. On average it contains 95% recycled plastics of
which 25% is post consumer content.
Why is using post consumer content so important?
Post consumer waste, the waste we as consumers use and discard every day, is
what is filling our landfills and taxing our resources. An increase in
collection, recycling and reuse of this discarded content is where the most
significant environmental improvement and energy savings potential exists
today.
Protecting our resources and creating less trash means more planet earth for us
to enjoy for generations to come.
How does choosing a mug made from eCycle help our earth?
When you use an eCycle recycled mug you’re not only reusing (which is good) you’re
also helping give new life to materials that would normally be discarded as waste.
You’re now not only helping prevent coffee cups and water bottles
from filling landfills you’re helping keep things like butter containers and
bottle caps stay out of landfills too. Plus, according to the EPA, in general
it takes 1/3 less energy to make a product from recycled plastic than making
the same product from new plastic.
All this makes a big difference when multiplied by the millions of mugs we all
use every day on our morning java run. Small actions do lead to big change and
we’re committed to helping the effort through our eCycle material.

Where does eCycle® material come from?
All of the recycled polypropylene (PP) used in our recycled products comes from
consumer food and beverage packaging, such as the polypropylene tubs often used
for refrigerated food packaging like butter, margarine, ice cream, yogurt and
beverage bottle caps.
All of the recycled polycarbonate (PC) used in our recycled products comes from
beverage containers and other high-grade polycarbonate consumer product
manufacturing scrap.
What makes products made with eCycle® safe?
Each and every product we make is FDA tested and safe, including our eCycle®
products. All of our recycled plastics materials are cleaned and processed to
meet the highest standards of quality.
How strong are products made with eCycle®?
eCycle® products are designed to withstand all that consumers throw at them, and
for Stanley® customers that’s a whole lot of abuse. They are dishwasher safe,
microwave safe and, like all of our products, they pass rigorous quality
testing before they make it to store shelves.
How can I recycle my Recycled & Recyclable mugs made with eCycle®?
Stanley’s® Recycled & Recyclable mugs are recyclable at facilities where [5]
is collected and recycled. Collection for [5] plastic is growing, yet it is not
widely available for curbside pickup in most municipalities. Find your nearest
